Mirren Juniors were part of the senior St Mirren Football Club set up and were in existence for four seasons between 1916
During this time they proved to be fairly succesful, bringing several trophies to Love Street.
This is a part of the broader St Mirren FC history that is not well documented.
As such, information has been very
hard to come by, and there are still many gaps in the information we have.
Newspapers of the day carried brief information
about the junior game such as results and occasionally scorers and a very short match report.
Predicted team line-ups
were published the day before the matches, however, no confirmation was given of the eleven who actually played in the match
reports, and often scorers and prominent players featured in the reports are not mentioned in the predicted line-ups.
Eventually we aim to try and record full details of St Mirren Juniors participation in the Junior League and all of the cup
competitions played in the junior ranks at the time, and make people more aware of this part of the clubs history.
special thank you to the following people without whom, we would have struggled to get this information into the public domain
and accessible to all:-
