Cameron Murray holds the record for most consecutive appearances for Saints first team and also most consecutive league appearances.

He made his Saints debut against Third Lanark on the 11th August 1962, in a league cup match, and was ever present in all competition until he missed two Summer Cup matches against Morton and Third Lanark in May 1964, a total of 92 matches.

He was back in the team for the start of the following season and remained ever present until the end of season 1966-67.
During this period Saints played 223 competitive matches, Cameron Murray played in 221 of them, missing just the two Summer Cup matches in 1964.
