2nd XI Cup
The 2nd X1 Cup is the reserve version of the Scottish Cup.
Saints have won the competition on two occasions.

In 1926-27 they defeated Aberdeen 3-0 in the final.
They followed this up in 1958-59 with a 3-2 victory over Motherwell.

Saints defeated Third Lanark and Clydebank before receiving a bye in round three.

In the semi final they faced Motherwell.
Having drawn 2-2 at Fir Park, Saints won 3-0 in the replay at Love Street

The final paired them with Aberdeen and over two legs they triumphed 4-1 on aggregate.

The route to the final in 1958-59 followed a similar pattern to the 1927 victory.
Third Lanark were defeated 2-1 in the first round and Dunfermline were dispatched 4-3 in the second.
A bye in the third again set up a semi final against Kilmarnock.

A 4-1 win took Saints into the final and a meeting with Motherwell.

Two goals from Jim Tierney and a Davie Laird strike, gave Saints a 3-0 first leg win. A 2-0 defeat at Fir Park in the second leg didn't dampen the occasion and the trophy came back to Paisley for a second time.

The Saints team for both legs was:-
Forsyth, Riddell, McTurk, Holmes, Ryan, Gregal, Campbell, Laird, Tierney, Thomson and Kerrigan.

This win is however overshadowed by the first team winning the Scottish Cup.

Along with the two victories, Saints also appeared in a further nine finals
